Guest post - Fabi

Everyone, please help me welcome Fabi of The Style Rules for our next Signature Style entry!

--------------------

I’m not sure if it’s my California upbringing or my (minor) obsession with Nicole Richie, but if I had the choice – all I would ever wear are prints and wooden platforms.

However, real life often comes a calling and I am forced to dress myself in outfits that conform to work dress codes. The horror.

Still, that doesn’t stop me from owning way too many Tucker blouses and 4 inch platforms. There is just something about a print that instantly gives you fashion cred and no matter how hard I fight it, I can almost never say no to a chunky wooden shoe. I just bought an affordable pair from Zara that look like they were cut and molded from a literal tree. I die.

Currently I’m obsessing over:
  1. This Parker camisole, which would be perfect for a hot summer day paired with holey boyfriend jeans
  2. This Bird Handbag, which is made of Guatemalan wedding dress fabric
  3. And these exquisite Bottega Veneta Crocodile Wedges – which I wouldn’t hesitate to wear 365 days a year.

A girl can dream, right?

Doesn't Fabi look cute under the pier in that maxi dress! I can't wait until I'm at the beach next week (although now I fell that I need a new cute dress). Love love love the bird handbag!

I never used to be a massive fan of prints, I was always a block colour kind of girl but they are definitely growing on me and more and more are making their way into my wardrobe.

I'm in total agreement, especially about the shoes! I've never met a pair of wood platforms I didn't like :)

:-D loving that outfit... work dress codes are rather annoying. i'm dreading the 'no tee-shirts' rule where i'm doing my internship this summer. it's in the fashion industry, so i'm not sure what exactly goes in and whats outside the rules, but i'm hoping they're bendy for lowly interns without cash to splash lol

funnily enough, i barely even noticed the studs while sitting. have to admit was worried and was goin to sew a patch over it on the inside, but you just get a slight feeling of coldness from the metal. they're two-pronged studs which fold together, and are really unobtrusive!

I have to agree COMPLETELY with prints! I have quite a few that I am hesitant to pull out sometimes, but they are too fun and a bit quirky!

Love the bag, but I'm too old (40 something) for the rest. Enjoy it while you're young.
